In medical terms, the Bypass Surgery is called Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) surgery. It is a surgery done for people with blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. Without this surgery, they are more prone to chest pain and heart attacks.

During a Bypass surgery, your surgeon takes blood vessels from other parts of the body to go around or ‘BYPASS’ these blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. This bypass allows more oxygenated blood to flow through the coronary arteries.
